One month until presidential election

As you know, we are just a few weeks away from the presidential election. As pastors and ministry leaders, we have a beautiful opportunity to shepherd our church members towards a greater love for Jesus Christ.

I would like to challenge you to consider three ways to lead your congregation in the coming weeks.

  1. Pray for the Lord’s will to be done. Lead your people in prayer, asking the Lord to do what only He can. Instead of just praying for your preferred candidate to win, pray for the Lord to prevail however He chooses.
  2. Prepare your people to remain united in Christ. While not instructing them on how to vote, encourage them to consider how they should interact with each other and with their neighbors during this time. I have linked an article here that we have shared with our church family to help guide them in this.
  3. Proclaim Christ as the one true King. Regardless of who sits in the Oval Office, we know who sits on the Eternal Throne. Use this as an opportunity to do the faithful work of an evangelist – proclaim Christ!
